"who's who" ... privacy policy ... visit us on facebook follow us on twitter! @fmpnhs welcome to faversham medical practice our mission statement: "at faversham medical practice we aim to provide health care in a professional and compassionate manner and we are committed to delivering a high quality service to our patients." computer system on the 9th may 2018 faversham medical practice transferred to a new computer system (emis). patients can no longer access vision online services. if you wish to use the new patient access online services, please look at our repeat prescription page here . if you have any questions or queries, please speak to emily our reception manager. training afternoon the surgery will be closed from 1pm on thursday 21st june 2018 for mandatory staff training. the surgery will be open again at 8am on friday 22nd june 2018 . canterbury and coastal consortium group have arranged out-of-hours gp cover for the afternoon which can be accessed by dialing 111. the minor injury unit will still be open from 8am-8pm every day and will be able to see any minor injuries or minor illness whilst the surgery is closed. this is open to all patients, whet her you are registered with a faversham gp or not. when the practice is closed, please dial 111 if you; - need medical help fast, but it's not a 999 emergency - don't know who to call for medical help or don't have a gp - think you need to go to a&e or another nhs urgent care service - need health information or reassurance about what to do next. faversham minor injuries unit the practice now runs the minor injuries unit at the faversham health centre. it is available to all patients both in and out of faversham. it is open from 8 am till 8 pm 7 days a week , including bank holidays (apart from christmas day). you can get help for any minor injuries, cuts, wounds, grazes, eye and ear injuries, bites, abscesses, falls, burns, sprains, strains and foreign bodies. you can also get treatment for minor illnesses for problems like infections, rashes, emergency contraception (morning after pill), coughs and colds when your gp surgery is closed x-ray patient can get their x-rays done at faversham health centre between 10am-4pm monday to friday. patients need to bring with them the forms provided by their gp and do not need to book an appointment. all x-ray are linked to the local hospital trust for viewing. friends & family test some feedback from patients: 20/02/2018- rod is so kind and made me feel like my situation mattered when perhaps i was losing hope with to-ing and frowing back to the practice. his care and attention is really appreciated and after seeing me in reception and approaching me to see how i was feeling after seeing him 2 days previously, i wanted him to know he is great! 21/01/2018 - rod was very kind, helpful & professional & made us feel at ease. positive about our daughters treatment. thank you 11/01/2018 - having read the news today about the huge pressures on the nhs at present, i was reflecting on my own experience accessing medical care over the christmas period. i attended the minor injuries unit on two occasions- once for myself and once for my daughter. i was pleased with the service i received and luckily had a very short wait before seeing a member of staff. on my visit on christmas eve, the wait was around 45 minutes however there were two members of staff seeing patients and i felt the overall service was still good. i would like to express my thanks to the staff and i'm grateful that my local minor injuries unit was a service available to me at the time. 11/01/2018 - having visited your medical centre twice this week with scalds to my stomach i would like to say what say the treatment i got on both occasions was brilliant i would not have got better service private. thank you all 11/11/2017 – brilliant nurse 18/11/2017 – the nurse i saw was amazing, incredibly kind and professional (dan) 21/10/2017 – fantastic staff!
